How Can You Treasure Your Travel Memories Forever

We all have created photo albums to make our travel memories last forever. But don't you think its out-dated now? There are a few new ways you can guard your travel memories which are imaginative and budget-friendly.

Let's check them out!

#Adventure

Travel memories

It is more like a tip on - "How can you make your travel memory cherish forever?" So, when you travel to a destination and you do something that is adventurous or something that you never thought you would attempt to do, you remember that adventure forever right? Whenever you think about that place the first thing you remember is the adventure you had. Have you ever thought why is that? It's because adventure gives you an adrenaline rush, a sense of fear and excitement together which makes it unforgettable.

Also, it changes your personality makes you stronger. Placing yourself in situations where things don’t always go as planned—such as on an adventure trip—helps you learn to cope with uncertainty in life. And there is no shortage of those.

So my first tip would be whenever you go to a place try to do something adventurous or something which gives you an adrenaline rush and cherishes that moment forever so that whenever someone asks about your trip you have something exciting to tell them.

#Stone Your Memory

Travel memories

This is a really interesting way of preserving your travel memories. The person who had this idea was probably inspired by Stone Age. But its a very creative idea.

So all you need to do is, take a pebble or a smooth stone from the place you travel to and write your best travel memory on to the stone with the use of a marker and take that stone with you when you go back home. And the plus point is no one's gonna ask you "why you took a stone from their country?" 😀 This way you can have a collection of your travel memories from different place written on different stones. And don't forget to write the name of the place from where that stone was taken.

This way whenever you want to go back in your memory lane you can pick a stone and cherish that memory.

#Journal

Travel memories

Yeah! I know most of you people already do that. But I'm telling you how to make it interesting. I know most of you are still old school and like to maintain a physical journal. I like it the same way too. Being the technology very advance I really miss using the pen to write something. Some of us are so lazy that we don't want to maintain the journal. I just want to tell them that writing things makes you wise and responsible. If you write something on a paper that's gonna put more effect on your mind then just virtually remembering it.

Writing in a journal reminds you of your goals and of your learning in life. It offers a place where you can hold a deliberate, thoughtful conversation with yourself. -Robin S. Sharma Click To Tweet

What should you write in a journal?

I really like the idea of Penzu on writing a journal which is -

Remember More

Write the thing that you want to take on the trip. Make the list of thing you need, the thing you want to do, places you want to see, things you want to eat etc. You can use your journal to remember things when you are planning for your trip.

Learn More

New places teach you new things. A new way of living, new food, new people, write down the new things you learn about that place. This way you would observe more about that place.

Reflect More

When you are back from the trip open your journal and reflect back to the things you wrote. This is a really nice way of going back in the memory lane.are

And if you are someone who thinks that taking a physical journal is just an extra baggage, you can choose an online journal like Penzu.
You can write all the things in your journal on your laptop or mobile. This is more of a new generation way of keeping a journal also a convenient way.

#Picture That Tells A Story

Dharamshala,Himachal Pradesh

Nowadays there is no picture that tells a story. In this selfie era, we don't really care about capturing a moment. Photos were created to capture a moment so that when we look back at those picture we can remember those time. With selfies that's not possible because all you see is your face in a different angle.

So you need to click picture to capture the moment. It can be anything the first time you tried something or a place that you visited or a beautiful sunrise or sunset or a beautiful flower. Of course, you need to have the right gadget to taken beautiful pictures. If you are not that familiar with camera setting you can use your phone for taking pictures as I do. All my blog pictures are taken using my OnePlus5 Mobile. And if you are someone who likes the DSLR camera I would suggest buying a beginner DSLR camera for an initial stage like Nikon D5300 or Canon EOS 1300D. Both are the best quality and best price  DSLR camera for beginners. You can check out the comparison chart below for choosing the best camera for the beginner.

#Frame Your Tickets & Tags

Travel tickets framed

Another way of treasuring your travel memory is to frame your travel tickets or luggage tags. Frame the pictures are old fashion. Framing your ticket will keep reminding you of the fun and adventure you had on the trip. Its the best to cherish your memory. Also, it will be a new addition to your home decor.

All you need is a pretty frame and just stick 3-4 tickets on it and Voila! It's done.

#Travel Memory Box

A specially curated box of your travel memories. It's a DIY project that you can do with your travel partner or with your kids or alone. You can either make it according to the places you have traveled or you can just make one box which contains all the things related to all the trips you had in past.

#Postcards

Postcards

Postcards were the best way to communicate in the old times. Still, people do send postcards. But I'm not telling you to send postcards to others instead you have to send those postcards to yourself. So whenever you in a new country buy a postcard and write your memory about that place and send it to yourself that way when you back to home from your long trip you are surprised by the beautiful postcards and the memory that you wrote about the place.

#Stick Country Patch On Your Backpack

Backpack

This is another unique idea that is inspired by a traveler. Couldn't find his name. But I really liked his idea of sticking the flags of the country he traveled on his travel backpack. This is really a unique way of treasuring your travel memory. Also wherever you travel your backpack will be with you. It will keep you motivated on your trips and when you are back home it will keep reminding you how many journeys you have had in the past. And how many more are remaining to be seen yet.

#Write A Blog

This is for someone who loves to write. If you are good and at writing, you can start a blog like this one where you are reading this article. I write about my journeys on my blog if you want to check you can click here. And the perk of writing a blog is that you are able to share your experiences with people around the world and inspire them with your travel stories and whatever you write is gonna stay forever on the internet so it's not getting lost by any means. So you can have a secure memory.

It is similar to writing a journal. You can either post pictures or add videos which is not possible in a handwritten journal. And another plus is that you can access it from anywhere you want where you can find an internet connection.

You don't need to a tech geek for starting a blog. Basic knowledge of computer and internet is enough to start a blog. You can use WordPress to create a free blog. This is another way of treasuring your travel memories.

#Tattoo

Tattoo

This is something creative if you are someone who likes the tattoo. Then you can get a tattoo from each country you traveled to, which holds a special memory about that place. People are getting flags of the country as their tattoo or the food or some famous monument of that country or the language is spoken there. It's up to you what you want your tattoo to be.

Now you have many ways to treasure your travel memories 🙂

  1. Wow these are some great ideas. I do love the stone idea, so different but such a cool idea. I would probaby be more likely to do a scrapbook (now that I know what I am doing!!) but some of these are very tempting.

  2. Amazing!!!! The idea using the pebble is genius since it keeps your memories fresh every time you see them. I’m definitely going to be trying some of these on my next adventure.

  3. I really like the “stone your memory” it so unique and you can take a stone directly from that place!

  4. Those are lovely tips to make your travels permanent! Have tried most of them except “Frame Your Tickets & Tags”. We save them and then, they just get misplaced! Haha! We love to bring back something though, like a t-shirt or fridge magnet or any thing else which will remind us of the travel! And tattoos! Still thinking about it 😉

  5. Such great ideas to commemorate those experiences. For me, the top choice would be a scrapbook or a journal because then I can also write about the things that I encountered during the trip. I think these are all awesome, though!

  6. LOve all of these ideas, especially the shadow frame with the travel tag. Journaling is great too because as the years pass you tend to forget things & of course photos 🙂

  7. Wow, so many cool and creative ideas! I love the idea with stones and memory box, and blog also. Actually I love all of them!))
